Which is easier to use for a beginner? Taylormade R7 draw or Burner draw?

Hi, I wld like to ask a question with regards to which is an easier and more forgiving driver for a beginner - the R7 draw or the Burner draw.

I had a salesman who told me that the Burner Draw is just the newer model of the R7 Draw and there is no point paying the premium for the latest model when the difference is small.

Yet another saleman from a different shop told me that for a beginner, the R7 Draw is an easier club between the 2 cos of the lower swing speed.

And the 3rd salesman from another store told me that the burner Draw is way easier to handle cos of its lighter weight.

Who is telling me the truth?

The real question here is which one do you hit the best. You have to hit them to find out....sales people try to sell what they have in stock ..or that which they have Promotions on.....

i just recently started to play golf and i consistently and accurately hit 200-250 yard and my swing isn't very good its almost a good swing but my left arm is almost completely bent like when i play baseball and im almost positive it is messing with the timing of my weight transfer so should i take the risk of ruining my ugly but effective swing to make it better and gain more yards or should i just be happy with how i swing

Although never having played baseball I have always had a baseball grip. This was changed around 2 years ago to a more widely accepted Vardon grip by my pro at my course.
I used to be a 16 handicapper with no chance of EVER getting any better due to the restrictions this grip placed on me.
I took the decision to change my grip and this caused me to shoot upto a 23 handicap as my game really suffered initially, however over time I have started to play better, much better and haven't looked back. My game is more consistent and my body and hands are suffering less due to the new "Proper" grip.
I have just got down to a 18 handicap again but with the potential to get to 10/9/8 who knows!!
I suppose the question you've got to ask yourself is: -
Are you the best golfer you can be or want to be?
If you are then carry on as normal, if however you want to improve the grips got to change.
Good luck in whatever you decide.

Ladies, if you were offered a traveling job? (revised)?

(NOTE: all hypothetical, this is a psychological question).

Job details include: planning trip itenerary, attending all meals, arranging travel details (rental cars etc). Finding out of the way, non tourist type spots in certain locales. Making sure trips run smooth and keeping the guy happy (non physical).

You would be traveling 1st class on planes, have shoping fund and all expenses included. Duration of job is 3 months, you will be paid at the end of this upon completion.

Lets say you are a good looking woman working at a restaurant as a server a few years out of high school (20-24ish?). You are non-married no kids (no commitments at home).

Guy is 27 years old, decently good looking, 6ft and muscularish. Dark hair/tan.

Would you accept the job? What if half way thru, he develops feelings for you and wants you to be more than the job description? Can you trust a stranger? WHY do you accept or decline the job? (Go into detail if you can )

I would not take this job, firstly I want the money up front because I have learn't you can't trust people. Secondly if I travelled with a guy it would be on the strict understanding we were just travelling companions nothing else. I would always want my own private onsuite room. If it developed into something more then I may review the situation. I do not have children to worry about. I am well travelled I never plan anything if I decide to go to Paris the next day then I go. Its impulsive I know but I find as I am travelling I meet other travelors who tell me where they have stayed or I may call ahead to book first night so the next day I have time to look around for somewhere better or more affordable. When I recently went to Poland I travelled alone I arrived at 11.55p.m. Polish time, from the train I saw a neon Hotel sign I decided to stay there, fortunately they did have a room. The next day I bought a map saw the coast line and decided that was where I was headed, I found a nice reasonable Hotel and stayed there for 1 week. Before moving on to my next destination. I go to the local markets where ever I travel and find they usually sell some lovely local pastry or sausage or something. I live abroad at the moment and last week just found this lovely little taverna where I ate it was very good and very reasonable, it is my birthday next week so I am taking a few friends to this place I have found. Everyday I am still discovering new places thats the beauty of travelling.

I hit my irons too high. How can I hit iron shots with a lower trajectory?

I can hit my 6-iron 185 yards, but the ball has a ridiculously high trajectory. I am unable to really control my shots, as they pretty much all go high and straight. Sometimes I hit a fade or draw. My handicap is 15.7. When I set-up to the ball my hands are in front of it and my ball is in the middle of my stance. I've had some success with moving my hands even or behind the ball, should I keep experimenting with that? I have Cleveland TA5's with stiff shaft. Could it be the clubs?

This is interesting to me, because most people want to hit their irons with a high trajectory to make the ball land softly on the greens. If I was you I would not change a thing. Hitting the irons high is a good thing.

However, if you really want to change to encourage more ball flight into the wind, then move the ball back in your stance a little and try not to make such a steep downswing, make a sweeping swing and make sure to have a lower follow through. If your follow through brings your club above your shoulder, then try to make it just below your shoulder, or at least even with it

Doing it His Way: Sauber Red Bull's Confidence Trickster Brook Johnston

A young Ernest Hemingway couldn't have put it best when he said he was "fraid o' nothin." The 20 year old American Brook Johnston can probably express similar sentiments. Team Sauber Red Bull Racing's newest addition has not only wowed the likes of the Albert II in Monaco, but has begun to turn the public face from hysteria to utter seriousness. The Sauber Red Bull driver has completely ravaged the streets of Monaco with a tremendous win and has recently taken the German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring pushing him ahead six points further into the championship lead. 

Now we can say that everything wasn't peachy for the so called "American Racing prodigy," of which he has begun to be called. Just a few weeks ago the American's luck began to turn sour as the Sauber Red Bull F2008 BMW chassis spun off the track at Monza's turn four, turning mere prowess into severity. Spending a total of three days in the Milan's Azienda Ospedaliera Ospitale Nigurada Ca' Granda hospital, Johnston endured critical bone fractures to his arms and rib cage as well as undergoing serious head trauma from the accident. At a speed of over 130 miles per hour, silence began to fall upon the American driver's faded championship hopes. Two weeks later, the Formula BMW International series was in complete awe as Johnston returned to Nurburg, Germany and hoped back into the car without any hesitation. " I've gotten this far why stop now," Johnston says. " This is my passion. If you can't step back into the race car after an accident like that, then your probably in the wrong sport." With that kind of confidence and pride, it's no wonder the young American took the win at the German Grand Prix last Sunday. I can definitely say I have never seen fire in the wits of a drivers eyes like that before. 

With that, I think you get the feeling that Brook isn't the sort of guy who sits there waiting for his turn. Brook likes to go after it! Talking to him isn't a particularly easy task as well. The Sauber Red Bull driver prefers that he sticks to what he knows. Racing! Even obtaining a simple interview with him was a very difficult chore in itself, constantly turned down by Sauber Red Bull Racing's public relations. Noticing his avid racing background and very minimal publicity, I might say that Sauber Red Bull has themselves one of the best public relations committees i've ever seen. And to think they would keep a young man with this much talent under-wraps and out of the scene. Well not exactly! With much luck and constant boasting, myself and Racer Magazine managed to get a few words in with the championship driver and confidence trickster himself.

Up close and personal, we thought we were talking to the wrong guy! I mean, here he is, the championship leading driver that we have longed to interview, sitting directly in front of us with his trendy Red Bull hat backwards and his stylish sunglasses glaring at us. We were half expecting an over confident attitude and a Hugo Boss suit. What made us think that? Besides the hours upon hours of phone calls into Sauber Red Bull Racing and nature of going about to get this interview, I must say we were completely wrong. Johnston was the type of guy that was extremely down to earth and was probably one of the best driver interviewees I've ever had. His calm, bright and very collective personality brought out the Michael Schumacher type of charm inside this young man. After knowing this, we wanted to start off the conversation with a much more interesting subject. We asked the young Sauber Red Bull driver about his clothing and stylish appearance. With a huge smile he laughed right back at us and said, " Well if you call this trendy then I guess Im on the right track then hugh." Bravo, indeed you are Brook! 

While he has been racing here on the European tour, his growth and support for himself and the team have been enormous. I mean this was a guy who started as a great driver but relatively unknown, and has been turned into a superstar and ESPN Extreme Athlete of 2008 award winner. What can he say about these achievements? " Yeah I think I was just as surprised as anybody to be honored with that award. Im just a regular guy who loves to race cars." I think regular is hardly the word to describe him. More like Superman in a driving suit! After all, Johnston’s nickname is “Tiger.” However, his very real nature and cheerful tone have put this extraordinary young man as the favorite among the Formula BMW International series crowd and has even put him into consideration for much larger forms of auto racing. " Yes, I will be testing for the Torro Rosso program in August and it has been a wonderful ride to get to this point. I've wanted to get to Formula One since I was about 5 years old. I would be stoked (excited) to reach that level and compete." Could this be America's next Formula One star? Well I hope so! Red Bull Torro Rosso's team has announced several names for their program for the 2009 season, yet it will not be clear until late August as to whom makes the cut. 

Well as many of us have wanted to know, what do you think the Formula BMW International series represents for you now going into something as prestigious as Formula One? What does it mean to get to that playing field? " The International series has been one of the greatest experiences ever for me. What could be better than traveling to world famous tracks and getting to race on them. Our series is known to be a huge stepping stone to Formula One, but I think we all know F1 is on a completely different level in comparison to anything. It will take some adjusting for me, but I will just have to get out there and show them what I got." Confidence indeed, the wise words of a championship leading driver! Johnston's presence in the series has formulated some 45,000 participants or so throughout the European crowds, while he battles his way towards the top mark. 

So focused and so adept to his participation on the track, what is Brook like off the track? Sauber Red Bull Racing has concentrated the young drivers efforts towards public events of charitable presence and to bring forth a rise in the youth involvement in motorsports. “ Yeah we (Sauber Red Bull Racing) just went to the Jugendlich Partei in Berlin which was a ton of fun and supported Germany’s Teen Cancer Foundation. I felt great to make those kids smile and see them having fun. I think I made a difference to them and that’s what’s important.” With a heart of gold and smile on his face, Johnston helped out in charitable presence at Berlin’s premier teen dance event with over 3,000 teenagers in attendance and guest appearance by country pop singer Taylor Swift, actor David Hasselhoff, and Championship Formula One driver Michael Schumacher. Johnston not only made just an appearance at the event, but we asked him if there was anything special he contributed to that night. He laughs, “ Well, everyone’s (VIPS) names were entered in a hat and picked at random to be in a dance contest against each other. I had to go against Taylor. Of course she won! (He chuckles) She is a much better dancer than I am, but what do you expect. I was just glad to be involved.” Johnston’s laughter and smile at the question only made us pry even deeper. So we asked, what do you think about being on stage with Taylor Swift? With a calm and collective face Brook replied, “ Yeah it was great, she is a very sweet girl and was a ton of fun to talk to. I think we were both having fun and happy to help support the foundation.” Well not exactly the Romeo and Juliet answer we were looking for, but the couple did look a little too good together on stage. Or so we thought at least! Johnston has been known to catch the younger girls eyes, as he has done several interviews for young rising star and teenage magazines. “ I am just glad to help out and spread my confidence to other teens whether it be in auto racing or any other sport.” So modest! Well, we can’t say that he was going to give us the mushy gushy answers we always hope for, but the smart and talented Johnston does have a very activity based personal life and enjoys the beach environment. Long walks on the sand ladies?

Well surely everyone was interested in his outside life, but what about his driving style and how he performs the way he does on the track? Who is Brook's favorite driver of all time? Non other than legend and seven time championship winning Formula One driver Michael Schumacher. Now we know where he gets that smile and charm. " I would say that Schumi has been a big inspiration to me on and off the track. I used to watch him with my dad growing up and when I finally saw him race in Indianapolis I knew he was unbeatable. And thats what I aspire to be." So does Johnston race like Schumacher on the track? He laughs, " Not exactly, I try to be my own person and I like my own style of racing. Schumi is amazing, but he has merely been my influence in racing. My talent lies in my fearlessness. You can't be fearful or else you will never push the car to the edge and that’s what it takes to be a winner." Brook Johnston's confidence is right among those of Ernest Hemingway and the great Michael Schumacher. He will be racing in Brasil’s Rio de Janeiro region for Round 8 of the Formula BMW International series next, and will be heading to several events and charities over his bye week period over the coming week. With great talent and motive, the young American is doing it his way and will be followed as a ro-model to many throughout auto racing.

I have just started to play golf around 6 months ago, and am absolutely in love with the game. I am 38 years old, in good shape, and really just want to learn a good golf swing technique that will show me the proper way to swing a golf club. Any ideas for a good golf swing technique?

As a golfer who carries a 1.6 handicap and shoots around par, I have 3 things that I feel you need to work on in order to improve your golf swing technique and start playing good golf in a short amount of time.
1. The first thing is to focus on a good grip. This is crucial because it is your only link to the golf club. You want two knuckles showing on the left hand (If you are right handed) and you want to make sure that your grip pressure is light. Gripping the club hard causes tension, which is not good for the golf swing.
2. The second thing that you should work on is your stance and backswing. Make sure that you have a good posture, and that you set up to the ball "like an athelete." This will help you a lot to improve your golf swing technique. You should start your backswing by letting your hands, arms, and shoulders move away from the ball at the same time.
3. The third thing is to start your downsing by rotating, not swaying your front hip toward the ball. This will increase your power and accuracy. Just make sure that you do not start the downswing with your hands, as this is a big no no!

Bugatti Model Summary

Bugatti, a legendary maker of high performance vehicles in Molsheim, France was established by a re-known Italian born car designer. It produced some of the most exclusive and fastest high end sports car between 1909 and the mid 1950s. It was largely a family based operation that failed to survive transition of its key founders. This is because it closed production in the fifties after some financial problems but it was bought out in the sixties for its high potential airplane business. Currently the Volkswagen group is the new owner of bugatti brand name that it uses to release limited edition high end sports cars. 

The bugatti car models were known for their highly detailed designs and their elegant artistic outline. Some of the greatest achievements of bugatti during it hay days includes winning the first Monaco grand prix, Targa Florio, French grand prix, Italian grand prix, Spanish grand prix, German grand prix, Belgian grand prix, Czechoslovakia grand prix and topping it up by becoming number one during the 24 hour of Le mans race in 1937 and 1939. In terms of design, the engines received a hand built design with a fine tuned polished look. This ensured that its flat gaskets could work well without sealing and it could be wired safely with elaborate corded patterns. It also used fewer light weight but durable parts for its forged spring axels. 

Some of the most notable car models that boosted the public opinion rating of bugatti include type 35 “royale”, type 55 and type 57 “atlantic”. During its extant, bugatti rolled out close to seven thousand cars but only two thousand of them can be currently accounted for when using the firm’s re-known T (type) mark on the drive train and chassis. Other known bugatti prototypes include type 36; type 56 electric cars, type 64 coupes and type 73c. Bugatti also produced a few road model cars for the well off between 1910 to 1962 like the type 252 convertible 2 setter, and type 18 garros. It also produced race car edition that were on offer between 1910 and 1956 are type 32 tank and type 251. 

Another landmark of the bugatti car model was in 1989 when its new owner Romano Artoili contracted car designers from Lamborghini and cauntach to produce the Bugatti EB110 sports car. However, this success was short lived as it closed production due to the economic recession of the mid 1990s. It was later acquired by Volkswagen AG in 1998 who commissioned production of the Bugatti EB118 touring sedan. This car was unveiled at the Paris auto show during the same year. It featured the first passenger car18 cylinder engine that had a horse power of 555. This model was followed by newer versions of Bugatti 18/8 Chiron and Bugatti EB 16/4 Veyron. 

The next generation of bugatti was launched in 2000 it had a 1001 horse power engine driven by 16 turbo charged cylinders with top speeds of 407 kilometers per hour and acceleration from 1 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than 2.5 seconds. The bugatti car model has evolved over years getting even better with contemporary designs put in place.
