Why do some golfers put the name of their grip on the back of the shaft not the front?

I noticed that several tour players put the name of their grip, for example Golf Pride, on the back of the shaft not the front. I was just wondering why they do that.

the logo could cause a distraction. players hands would line up , cover the logo this would throw the feel of the club off. also with logo on the front. if grip is slightly misaligned would cause alignment problems. other reason. endorsement. major manufactures have their own logo on clubs. ping taylor made etc. with golf pride showing brand i d unknown. just a matter of personal preference.

You block out the din of hecklers behind you and make a smooth transition - putter face square to the ball. A piece of cake. You normally pick up or backhand such short putts. It's nothing.

The putter head nears the ball. This is it. Seven skins. Thirty-five bucks to flash half-drunk in their faces at the 19th hole.

Then a thought creeps into your fragile psyche ("seven skins - oh my God"), and the damn putter head strikes the green an inch short of the ball. Your sweat now mixes with tears as the three idiots roll on the ground in fits of laughter.

Alas, what gambling does to the nerves. Lee Trevino said it best: "You don't know what pressure is until you play for five bucks with only $2 in your pocket." And that's true whether it's for five or 5,000 bucks.

i did the same thing last year, don't touch it a lot because that will irritate it. if you can cover it with your bangs during the day, that's fine. dab a little neosporin on it and pin your bangs back at night, it should help

golf driver question?

im looking to buy a new driver and was down to 3 i was looking at.taylor made burner,big bertha diablo,and a nike dymo2.they are the same price at academy sports this week(sale ends may 8)and was wandering what would be the best suggestion for me...(shoot in the 80s)been playing 14 yrs and tend to have a hook at times...which one is more forgiving and which loft would be better?

Go with comfort. I find that Nike clubs are more club-heavy than a Callaway or Taylormade. I got a Callaway driver that's not bad, but Taylormade drivers are considered the best in that club category.

This mmay sound ignorant, but usually the most expensive/brand name is the best.
I would get the chi, but from somewhere like Target(do they sell them there?) so you can return it if you have to.
Try a T Studio Remington Straightener. I have it, my hairs mostly the same as yours, it gets to 400 degrees, has temp settings, and still hasn't broken on me. You can get it from the Brand website, but from Target, it's ten bucks cheaper. Also, it's only FORTY DOLLARS!!!
