can anyone tell me where the golfer ben sayers is buried.?

ben sayers was born in leith edinburgh on 23/6/1856 and died on 9/3/1924 in north berwick. he was a famous golf club and ball maker of his day and also won many professional golf tournaments but he does not seem to be very well documented. any help in this matter would be much appreciated as i would like to do a study on this interesting and talented scottish golfer. regards bob.

After moving to Haddington with his family at the age of 12, Sayers began to play golf after being given a club by his uncle. He was short at 5ft 3in but strong and on the verge of becoming a professional acrobat when he began to take golf seriously. He moved to North Berwick and after enjoying success in competitions at Dunbar, Hoylake and other courses he took up ballmaking, and also began to enter The Open Championship. He came second in The Open on two occasions, but although he won 24 top level tournaments he never lifted the "Old Claret Jug".
Sayers was a golf instructor to royalty, nobility and fellow professionals. In his day he taught Her Majesty Queen Alexandra, the Prince of Wales, Princess Victoria, Duchess of Connaught and Princess Patricia of Connaught. He also instructed US Ladies Champion Dorothy Campbell and Frenchman Arnaud Massy who became the first overseas player to win the British Open.
His course designing credits include Moffat, Rothesay, Craigielaw Links, Adare Manor, West Monmouthshire and the Spey Bay Golf Club in Banffshire.
The Ben Sayers & Son factory has been responsible for creating several revolutionary pieces of golfing equipment, from gutta-percha balls and the "Benny" putter (the first to have a square-edged handgrip) to, in later years, the first set of carbon-shafted clubs and a specially commissioned putter for Jack Nicklaus. Ben Sayers jnr. also designed the first "oversized" driver. After operating from the Ben Sayers factory in North Berwick for 126 years production was moved to China in 2003.

Can you clean your golf clubs too much?

I know it sounds like a silly question but I am a beginner golfer and I clean all my clubs that I use after every round I play. a friend that I golf with however, rarely cleans her clubs. I was just wondering if my cleaning habits were excessive or is it appropriate to clean them after rounds? Thanks!

yea i always clean mine after playing, you always want the grooves to be clean, so no i dont think you are cleaning them too much.

What gift can I get the best man? Please help!!! Lol?

We're getting married July 25th, and we have all the gifts for the wedding party already ordered and on it's way. All that is except the Best Man's gift. We can't figure out what to get him. We got the groomsmen 20oz personalized beer glasses, but want to get something different for the best man.
He:
-doesn't smoke
-doesn't drink, (alcohol or coffee)
-doesn't wear cuff links,
-doesn't play golf,
-doesn't really play any sport
-was recently married in June
-is retired army and attending a University
-is majoring in film production
-is a DJ for a local radio station and works in production at a news stage

We can't get him a watch or personalized money clip (one, they seem rather "cheesy" after getting the groomsmen personalized mugs, and he just gave those to HIS best man who is the GROOM in our wedding.....any ideas would be more than welcomed!!!!

Boring School Uniform?

Ok, well my uniform consists of black pants or black capri pants(used to have skirts, that actually were ok looking but they got rid of those =() white blouse or white short sleeve golf shirt or white long sleeve golf shirt, charcoal colour pullover vest, charcoal sweater. We have to wear black shoes, no heels are allowd and the shoes have to have toes and heels covered so i wear black ballet flats with black socks. Its a pretty boring outfit but w/e.We have no rules about anything else only clothes, thank god. Any designer bags i should get? (ex: coach, gucci, chanel...??)
So, any ideas?? accessories, hair, makeup...how to wear my uniform? thanks so much =D

God, they are putting you in mourning. First of all I'm sorry your forced to go to that school. Well here's my advice.Forget bags and all that stuff, work on your face ,hair and body. Let's start with your face. I love red lipstick.If i'm wearing lipstick ....it's red.Bright red Dark red any type of red. Also rasberry is really pretty.For eyes,I'd go for a smokey brown,metallic brown,purple (this color brings out just about anyones eyes),blue, and sometimes green (if you have a more vany face then don't use this.It reallly depends on your complexion), then of course jet black mascara.I love eyeliner too.Black or brown are my favorite colors (though I have heard that using blue eyeliner and mascara can make the whites of your eyes look better). Blush is good too. Go for a red color though it stands out more than your average pink. Ok what about your hair color.Changing your hair color is a fantastic way to change your look and step out of the normal.An auburn or red is always pretty or golden blonde or dark brown even a jet black (but not if you have a tan.You have to have pale skin to carry this off nicley). Curly hair is good too. There are a thousand girls with the most boring straight long hair.Curls stand out and even if you can't dye your hair still will stand out from the sea of blck!! Nail polish is good too. Some shocking color like deep purple or red or a non barbie doll pink would be good....or emerald green (never yellow though, yellow makes your nails look like they've got some sort of disease). Perfume is good too. Though it doesn't change the way you look it does help you feel good and make you feel complete (Firt,Juicy couture, or Stella are all really good.you may have to save up for these but they are worth it). Well nothing can make you feel better than having a great body to slip in your black clothes. I'm not much of an exercise freak and am one of those people that kinda exercise on and off but Winsor Pilates are really good and having a body in good shape always makes you feel better about yourself.My favorite accessoy is jewelry.I really like rings.Antique costume jewelry is realy great and if you look hard enough inexpensive. I hope I helped and am sooo sorry about your school!!! It really sucks that they make you wear that stuff!!!!
