this is urgent
i'm deciding on a new flat iron. i have WAVY/STRAIGHT, THIN, LONGISH HAIR
please comment on what would be the best choice & comment about whether or not the things i wrote next to it are right
CHI (dazzle or original)-
pros:can get for cheaper on ebay, heats up fast.

This mmay sound ignorant, but usually the most expensive/brand name is the best.
I would get the chi, but from somewhere like Target(do they sell them there?) so you can return it if you have to.
Try a T Studio Remington Straightener. I have it, my hairs mostly the same as yours, it gets to 400 degrees, has temp settings, and still hasn't broken on me. You can get it from the Brand website, but from Target, it's ten bucks cheaper. Also, it's only FORTY DOLLARS!!!

Amping from components, what happens with rear speakers?
Hi guys,
(VW Golf MKIV)
As above, i'll be amping my new after market components, but what happens with my rear speakers? Will they still have the stock sound, even after i've connected all the RCA leads to the head unit? If so, is it just a case of moving the fader more to the front to stop them from blowing with the new amp?

Unless you are hooking an amp to the rears as well you will be fine. If you are powering your stock rear speakers off of a 4 channel amp chances are it is wayyy too much power for stock speakers. If you are just running the fronts off an aftermarket amp and the stock rears off you deck there will be a huge difference between the components and the rear speakers. For instance I have a display box with a power supply running a set of 100 watt rms component speakers. When I run them off an aftermarket radio putting say 15-20 watts rms to each speaker and than I hook up an amp to the components the volume and sound quality is night and day. With an amp no matter how big if it is putting 50 watts rms to each speaker the difference from either stock radio or aftermarket is amazingly different. With the speakers hooked to the radio I could turn it up to say 90 of 100 on the volume and when I had the amp wired to them I could only turn it to 40 and it was already screaming before that and that is with the amp turned down. To me the imaging wouldn't get better but you'd never be able to hear your rears over the fronts. To hear the rears your amp is going to have to basically be turned off! Just my .02 though

Where can I find a set of Ping eye 2's besides ebay?
I really want a set of ping eye 2 irons. Obviously they are not the golf club of choice and are not top of the line for ping anymore however, I feel comfortable with this club and I am picking up the game for the first time in 10 years again if you have any suggestions let me know?

Driver question for my golf game...? 10 pts for best!?
ok, I hit an Cleveland Launcher 460 Comp 8.5 degree driver. I was steered toward an 8.5 degree driver by someone who is really good. I play bogey golf and really liked this driver at first. Over the last year I have seen my drives (which used to go about 250) now only go about 100-150. They go in a straight line but never really get going off the ground. They take off and nose dive. I am not topping it and feel the ball is in the right part of my stance. Could it be that I need to get a new driver that has a higher degree of loft on it? If so 9.5, 10, or 10.5?
Recommendations?
I find that 8.5 degree drivers are really difficult to hit because there is not enough loft on them. To get more loft try this at the driving range only not on the course: switch around ball position in your stance bring it foward a little and see if that might be the problem. Also check for any dents is the sole of the driver. Look for blemishes on the face of the driver. Dont go outand buy a $300-400 driver when the drivers not the problem. Try also taking a lesson or two from a PGA teaching proffessional at your local course. I took four lessons and i found the remedy to my golf game they are really good and are a big help.

I am looking for a golf cart with dump body?
Would like a gas golf cart with utility body
Yamaha makes them in a few models. for an automatic dump you will need little more work but we make lots in gas and electric at work. go visit a dealer and see what all models are made. some with plastic beds some with aluminium. I think one model is the umax.

using wrong Shaft golf?
I have the cg red golf clubs but my parents surprised me and got them but they got me regular shafts while i would have gotten stiff. I get a good amount of swing speed. Hit my driver 270 average. What effects does using too weak of shafts create. ie distance, ball striking, accuracy or does it not make much of a difference at all. be specific.
I have a golf buddy that bought a Big Bertha driver just because he missed his old one. Thing is it was a different shaft. Every time he played with it, he had to compensate in some way and it threw off his entire game. Which means I beat him.
If you get the wrong shaft it will throw off your game and you will have to learn how to hit that club all over again. With the distance your talking about a stiff shaft would be a good thing. A regular shaft might have too much flex.
The only real way to tell is to have a pro examine your swing.

Tough CD audio burning problem?
OK, whoever can solve this one gets a really big gold star. I cannot play audio CD I have burnt on my computer in a regular CD player. Here is the amazing part. I have used 2 different burners all with updated firmware and drivers. I have tried several different burning programs. I have tried lowering the burning speeds. I have tried 3 different CD brands. I have another computer in the house and the CDs burn just fine using the programs/CDs I have used on this computer. I have Winxp Home and a brand new Lite-On 18x DVD burner. Anyone have any ideas. I have tried everything. Again, I have confirmed that it is not the drive, program, or media...
And yes, I am finalizing the disks...
And yes, I am creating an audio CD and not a data CD
Nero 7 was tried, no success, and no errors during burning...
I am making audio CD, not MP3 Cds

My computer is stupid can some one help?
I have just got this computer. Its got windows 98 and it works realitivly well. i really havent doen any kthing to i just in talled these folowing pro grams for my little brother 3D frog frenzy and hot wheels stunt track aloong with a game called chicken hunter and a driver/engin to make my flash drives work with it i changed the desktop to and image on my flash drive and i added another useer name and changed the back ground there. after that i loged out and loged onto the other and shut it down. I turnd it back on and my desktop i cons flashed allong with my start bar and theye vanished and the keyboard and the mouse buttons dont work but the mouses curser shows up and i can moove it to any where. i havent even hooked it up to the inter net so it couldnt be a virus. and befor i stuck my flash drives in it i scand them for viruses and they were clean so can any one tell me how to fix this problem?
This could be a complex problem.or something simple. It sounds as if your toolabr is on auto hide. it sounds like the easiest answer is to reload the os. I would just suggest a new computer because this one is quite old and you won't be able to use any software newer than around 2000. I just recently made several computers for people and if you have a hard drive and a cd drive and a case it should only cost around 150-200 dollars to upgrade a computer and you would also need windows xp.
Sorry I cant give you more elaborate instructions to fix your computer but it is really hard to troubleshoot a complex problem without seeing the computer.

Can I replace a PVC ball valve - outdoor 2 inch type with a steel valve?
One of my ball valves burst last night in the freeze.
Would I cut off the burst PVC ball valve and the attach the steel ball valve with PVC couplings on the ends ( to attach it to the PVC pipe)? It is pointless to put a steel ball valve on PVC pipe if the pipe may also burst from freezing? Should I just hire a sprinkler repair person or is this pretty easy. I have lots of tools. THe valve is above ground on a set of pipes that are for our front lawn sprinklers. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

You can replace it with plastic or steel. Toss a blankie on those pipes when it is this cold
