Does anyone dress up in Cancun?

I'm going to Cancun 5/3-5/11. I'm obviously going to be bringing lots of beach/swim stuff and light stuff for warm weather. Just curious if there are any times when I should be or will be required to dress up? I'm 24, going to be staying at a Golf and Spa Resort with the gf. If I do have to dress up, to what extent? Sport coat and jeans, suit? or just a button shirt (short sleeve or long sleeve?) Thanks.

No sports coat or suit. Most men wear khaki pants and a collared shirt for dress up. Jeans are okay but may be too hot. Shorts and collared shirt. I would bring both long/short sleeve shirts.

Cancun is very casual.

I was there in May last year and the weather was perfect. Have a great trip. Enjoy)

Will golf ball companies start making a softer ball since v grooves will be in play more next year.?

I don't know how they are going to make a softer ball then what they make now and still be playable. I have Callaway tour irons and they shred the covers on callaway hot bites,some maxifli and some titlest. It's not the way that I'm hitting the ball as a friend who plays big bertha irons also suffers the same fate . If they can make them stronger as well as softer then that will be a good thing. do you other people have this problem of the covers shredding you can start with a new ball and after just one hit with an iron it will have line grooves ,that are flaked up
